So you missed the new moon in Cancer?

Not to worry! The new moon energy lasts for 3 days, so you have ample time to tap into this powerful energy and set intentions for the next cycle.

Here's How I Celebrated the New Moon

The new moon is a time for beginnings, but before you start something new you need to release something old. Something that's not serving you anymore.

Enter: the Ritual Bath.

I lit two candles (one white, for the moon, and one red, for the energy of home and family, the domain of Cancer)

I also grabbed a beautiful crystal that gave me strong Cancer Moon vibes* and set it between the candles.

Then, I set the intention of what I wanted to begin:

For me, I wanted to start a new era where I care for myself, I care for my business, I care for my money, I care for my family, and I care for the world.

To make room for that, I needed to let go of something, so I focused on releasing the belief that there is a Right Way to be a wife and mother.

In the bath I did an EFT tapping meditation on this, focusing the first round on what I wanted to release and the second round on what I was starting.

Also & Always: Journalling

I did some free writing on the question of "What does my heart long to feel?" because Cancer is a very *feelings-oriented* kind of sign. I let myself free write on this and then placed my crystal on top of that page in my journal, and let it sit all night by a window, charging with my desires and the new moon energy.

And of course, A guided meditation

I guess I could have done this free-style, but my aim was to breathe in nurturing energy, and release anything blocking me from nurturing myself, because security begins with Trusting and Caring for My Self.

I ended up choosing this 25-minute meditation from a creator on Insight Timer and I highly recommend it! I'll be doing it again tonight before bed.

Finally: A beverage

I brewed some Dream Tea from my local magic store, but any non-caffeinated or sleepy-time tea would work as well. The moon is very dreamy, so before bed I repeated my intentions 3 times as I stirred them into the tea.
