Magical Mondays: The Queen of Swords Looks Inward

Ok dear ones,

It's been a week. I know you're feeling it too. Clients and friends and family and myself.... all of us are living in the strange and uncomfortable limbo of an outer world that seems to be spiraling more and more out of control.... and a daily life that looks very much the same.

It feels strange and surreal.

And, right now, it doesn't feel like we have much control.

Today's card gives me comfort:

The queen of swords is dressed in gold and blue, feeling warm and cool at the same time. And she is seated, not up and fighting.

The queen will not be rushed.

She won't be frightened, or pushed to act before she is ready.

The queen looks down, at her sword.

it's ready, in case she needs it, and she knows how.

But right now the queen is turned inward, processing, receiving, and understanding.

The white bird on her shoulder representing peace, wisdom, and divine guidance.

What this means for us:

Our human brains never evolved to solve the problems of the whole world alone. When you watch the news and let your control-issues trigger you into feeling like you MUST TAKE ACTION NOW, you end up in a fight or flight response. From a place of stress and activation you won't do your best thinking, or get the rest you need to be ready when your time comes.

The outer work is calling, but before you show up to try to save everyone else, you need to put your own oxygen mask on, darling. The world doesn't need unhealed reactive people showing up yelling loudly and acting out of fear. It needs you in your power, in your alignment, in your deep-seated truth acting out of love, listening and speaking soft and clear.

What to do today:

  • Schedule a free discovery call to learn how Good Girl Deprogramming can help you unleash your sovereign self.
  • Plan one day to be completely off of social media this week (mine will be Friday!) to make sure you get a break from *gestures to everything*
  • Move your body in a way that helps soothe your nervous system. Take a walk, do some dancing, or try this 10-minute Move Through Anxiety Yoga Flow
  • Take a few moments on social media to UNFOLLOW any accounts that make you feel stressed, powerless, or scared.

If you're doing something right now that's helping you make peace with the state of the world, I'd love to hear about it! Please respond to this email and share your story!

Sincerely,

Megan

This week’s card is: XII The Hanged Man The Hanged Man. In the picture today this person hangs, comfortably suspended from a branch by a strong rope. They are hanging upside down, but the body language speaks of comfort and ease. And what’s more? They are holding the rope themself - keeping themself stuck here. This is a metaphor if ever there was one. It begs us to ask the questions: Where and How are we keeping ourselves stuck? Where are we holding ourselves back? And, how has that very...

Ok so the day I bought my house the realtor (not my realtor, Barbara, who is perfect and fabulous but the seller's realtor, who I had only just met) asked me when I was due. And I made a silly video about it. And I put it on the internet. And honestly, I have no idea why but now it's gotten over 500,000 views on TikTok and 35,000 on Instagram and today I got a message from a reporter at Newsweek who wanted to get some follow-up questions for a clickbait article, I guess. Is this fame?...
