πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ Magical Mondays: A perfect balance

Hi! Welcome to Magical Mondays, where every week I draw a card for us to give some guidance and direction in a world that... well, you know. If you got this email forwarded, you can click the link below to subscribe so you don't miss out!

This week's message is a call to deepen the work we did last week:

The Dog Rose

It's all about balance again, but this time a little more integrated.

It's less of a full pendulum swing from one side to the other and more of a subtle settling towards the center.

It's an acceptance that, while parts of youare in full flower, other parts of you are done their latest cycle and are ready to fall away.

(And yes, there are even other parts that are still growing, deep in the earth where you can't see yet.)

There are specific dualities you're being called to bring into balance:

  • Doing vs. Being
  • Making It Happen vs. Admiring Your Work
  • Pushing Forward vs. Resting and Slowing Down
  • Being Social vs. Being Alone

The big question this week is how to merge these two, seemingly opposite forces together into each experience?

Fear not! I have Ideas:

  1. The physical - Interval Training. If you're into physical movement practices, this is a great week to play with interval training. In running, this looks like running for a set amount of time, and then slowing down and walking for a set amount of time. You go fast, and then you intentionally go slow. In marathon training this often helps athletes improve their overall time! Go figure. If you're more of a gym girlie, you can do this by doing a full minute of work followed by a minute of rest. During that rest, listen to your breath & heartbeat, instead of pulling out your phone and checking insta. K?
  2. Career & Work - When you're at your desk, this takes the form of something called a Pomodoro. It's like interval training for your brain. Set a timer for a 25-minute "work sprint" where you focus on one task (I'm actually doing this right now) and then take a timed 5 minute break. During that break you should do NO WORK. Take a walk, stretch your body, or go pour yourself a glass of water. Repeat this sequence 4 times and take a 30-minute break at the end.
  3. Social & Family Time - Take a grounding "smoke break" every hour or so when having quality time with others. And no, I don't mean actually take up smoking (it's bad for you, have you heard?) But I do love that smokers have a built in excuse to just step away from social gatherings to go outside and breathe for a few minutes, without everyone else wondering if their being weird or anti-social. So when you've been with other people for a while (even if those other people are your family or kids!) practice stepping outside or away for just a few minutes with a focus on breathing and grounding yourself before you go back to it.

Let me know which of these you think will work for you and Oh!

By the way, the doors are open for my new Group Coaching program: Campfyre Collective

It's a place where the dualities start to come into balance, and where we get to practice being our whole selves even if it feels a little weird to do that. It's the perfect way to start putting this weekly guidance into action in a group setting. Check it out now and reserve your spot by Black Friday (11/28) to get early bird pricing PLUS a free 1:1 coaching session to kick off the new year.

Light (the world on fire) & Love (fiercely, fully, and often),

Did you know that the new moon is a time of rebirth and renewal? It's the perfect time to claim a new identity and use some magical alignment to help you step into it more quickly. And apparently (i learned this from TikTok) the energy of this new moon is really kind of a "fuck shit up fast" boost, and it will literally pull the rug out from under your old established patterns. No hesitation. No playing it safe. Because there's still 1 night left of this gorgeous new moon energy, I thought...

I had almost no idea what I was doing the last time I launched this group coaching program. I thought the most valuable part would be the workshops, the modules. The things we could do. And about halfway through I realized... nope. That's not what the magic is. In fact, all that stuff that I thought a group coaching program had to have was getting in the way of the magic. The real magic was happening in the "campfire calls". πŸ”₯Learn MoreπŸ”₯ Which honestly? Started because I couldn't figure out...

Part of what I LOVE about Campfyre Coaching is the way it allows for women to Center Themselves for once. We all want to step into our Main Character energy, right? We know that's how we become magnetic, how we get what we want, how we make change in the world around us. But... making ourselves the Main Character feels... selfish. I had a super juicy conversation about this the other day with Maria (who's one of the O.G. campers, when I first ran it as the Rebel Alliance Mastermind) and we...
