Today is Tuesday. But whatever, it's been a week, a month, and my favorite astrologer, Misti Workman, has told me that some heavy stuff is going on in the cosmos. So.... Magic Monday is a mindset and not necessarily a day of the week. Today, lovelies, our card is: The Ten of Cups This card represents the feeling of joy, pride, and absolute bliss that comes from creating something (together) that you had no idea you were capable of making. It's the feeling of, yes, looking at a newborn baby and basking in the miracle of life, creation, and magic that is SO MUCH BIGGER than us and that, at the same time, we will always and forever be an active part of. It's the feeling of sharing a short story you wrote with your friends and having them enjoy it, and encourage you to keep going, even though you thought this dream was gone. It's the feeling of coming out the other side of a creative process you thought might never be finished. And I have to be honest, I needed this card today. Because I've been getting sucked into the downward spiral of "I haven't done enough yet" and "I have so much more to figure out". This card is a reminder to me, and to you, to take a moment to appreciate all you HAVE done, all you HAVE ALREADY created and received, and to celebrate it along with those who helped you get here. Here are some ways you might bring this energy into this week:🌟Write thank you notes (and maybe actual cards) to some of the people who helped you get to where you are. Offer gratitude and celebration, and, if you haven't spoken in a while, a chance to catch up! 🌟Find one or two ways to be extra gentle with yourself this week. Let yourself bask in that "newborn" fog, and pamper yourself. Because I have a hunch that when you actually did finish the project, achieve the goal, or hit the milestone? Your brain immediately fast-forwarded to what was next on your to-do list. 🌟Journal or meditate on one of the prompts below
An important thing to remember about this card & its energy is that we don't do anything all alone. It's easy, especially if you have defined yourself all your life as being "independent" to feel like you are in this alone, whatever "this" is. But you're not. This is why I'm piloting a small-group program of my Good Girl Deprogramming offer - because when we create, learn, and grow together the results are unpredictable and powerful. If you're interested in learning more let's chat this week. <3 Megan (As always I LOVE reading your thoughts on these, please do respond and share what this means for you!) P.S. - remember I'm an intuitive tarot reader meaning I Am Lazy and have not memorized the "official" card meanings. Do you know how annoying it is to try to "gentle parent" a toddler? If you aren't familiar, gentle parenting, at is essence, is committing to be a safe place for your toddler to have the full range of emotions and experiences that come along with, well, being a toddler. Which means that you sit with them through the tantrums, the meltdowns, and the "I JUST CAN'T DO THIS", without telling them to suck it up and stop crying. But also, without taking away the problem, or stepping in to solve it...
Today's card is: The Four of Pentacles If I haven't told you already, I'm an intuitive reader, meaning I don't always go with the assigned meaning of each card. So I want to share the image I saw on this deck: The woman on this card is crouching down, balancing on two pentacles, holding a third and gazing at it like it is a beautiful mystery she wants to understand. A fourth pentacle sits just above her head on a shining archway. The colors are blue and white and purple which, to me, always...
Have you noticed that when i do these I normally pull one card? A simple pull, to ask for guidance and a general theme. But when I read for myself, or for others, I use a 3-card spread. The extra cards can add clarity, (or confusion) to deliver a longer message. It's the progression here that matters, not the individual cards themselves. Today, when I went to pull a card for us, 3 cards popped out. Only, here's the weird thing, they were the same (almost) 3 cards I had pulled for myself last...
