Remember there are no stupid questions

I don't have any FAQ's about my new movement workshop (March 23rd at 12:00pm) because I only just posted about it today, and I didn't share very much.

I even forgot to put on the flyer that you'll need to bring a notebook and a pen.

But, if I *had* gotten questions, here's what I imagine they would be...

Q: What is Ostara

A: I mean you could just google.... wait a second. I'm beginning to see why no one asks me FAQs.
Ok. So, If you're not going to look it up, Ostara is the pagan holiday of the spring equinox, the shift of the balance of the day from dark to light. The energy is all about renewal and new growth. Planting what you want to harvest later this year. (Yes, it does sound a lot like Easter. No it's not an accident.)

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Yoga mat! (unless you don't have one, then borrow one of ours!) A notebook and something to write with.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Good question! Activewear currently is trending toward skin-tight, midriff-bearing, organic cotton or lycra or something or other. *But* we are going to be focused on feeling free and comfortable to move in all different ways. And we will be in a room. With mirrors. And possibly some people you don't know.

I personally am often more comfortable working out in clothes that drape and move easily and don't roll down every time I bend over at the waist. Wear what you like, and what you feel comfortable moving in, is what I'm saying.

Q: What is the playlist?

A: I am so glad you asked the link is here.

Q: What does somatic mean?

A: It means we are going to be doing some stuff (like shaking, dancing, bouncing, breathing, and sometimes yelling and making weird noises) that has been shown to help sooth the human nervous system and allow you to release a lot of icky energy that can build up in your aura/energy field/hips and shoulders.

(There's a better answer, of course, but if you're not willing to google it and *I'm* not willing to google it then this is what we get)

Q: Is there going to be a virtual option?

A: I.... dunno. I hadn't thought of that, actually. Is that something you would want?

Join me March 23d for OSTARA: A Yoga and Somatic Journey
12:00 PM
At YogaHigh in Cornwall, NY

Megan

Today's card is......(drumroll please!) The Fool. Card 0. The Very. First. One. I drew this card and immediately was called to pull up this song on youtube (and the music video is even more charming than I can remember). Because, you see, the inner perfectionist in me? The good girl? The one who hates to be bad at something (especially in public) she used to hate the Fool card. What is a fool, she thought, except something useless, inconvenient, and unpredictable. The one who messes...

"I am woman, hear me roar!" "I'm feeling delusional and unhinged today, so that's the energy I'm bringing." What do you think a session with me would be like? Even if you've had one with me before, I don't think you quite understand what's in the works right now. When I started coaching it was all about thoughts. Changing your thoughts and changing how much control they have over you. Now it's gotten hotter and weirder. In the past month I've lead clients through chakra cleanses time-travel...

The economy is going bonkers. We have, at the same time, a lot of money to spend on things we don't need and not quite enough money to afford the things we *do* need. I've been thinking about this today as I'm once again in my head about what it means to charge for coaching. Why would my clients pay me instead of creating this change on their own, or through less expensive options like self-help books or listening to free podcasts? Cooking is not complete without a dance around the kitchen...
