Magical Mondays: Revisit & Reflect

One of the weird things about reading for you, Reader, is that I can get embarrassed and in my head about the cards I pull.

Like, if I draw the Same Exact Card that I read for us back in July, I might wonder: "what if they think this is a cop-out? Don't they deserve something new?"

In my own personal readings, though, a card that repeats often means one of three things:

  1. I heard the message, but I didn't LISTEN to the message
  2. It's time to reflect back on the last reading, and notice what progress I've made.
  3. The card means something different this time, because we're in a slightly different context.

This Week's Card: Like A Rainbow

This is definitely a "reflect back" kind of week. The last time I pulled this card for us was July 13th. The day after my birthday. It was Cancer season, and I'd just come home from a renaissance festival in Sterling, NY.

Today is September 7th. The day after my mom's birthday. It's Virgo season, and I've got work at the renaissance festival in Sterling Forest, NY in about 2 hours.

If you want, you can do what I did and go back to read that email.

What stood out to me, though, was this one question:

What gives your life color, and is it real? Or artificial?

Here are my answers:

  1. My growing connection to the natural world gives my life color, and it is very, very real. I've been playing with plants, learning about how to tend the garden I inherited when I bought this house with my husband. I've been surrounded by green, and surprising pops of color. I've added color too, and started finding enjoyment and peace in the tedious and tiring work of weeding, pruning, and watering.
  2. One thing that's helped me to notice the natural color of my life is my journalling practice. A while back I stopped writing mostly for people on the internet, and took most of my social media off my phone. Writing just for myself has helped me notice so much more of the color and nuance in my own life, instead of thinking that "color" or "excitement" is something that other people have, over there, on the internet somewhere.
  3. One place "natural color" is missing? My wardrobe. I've gotten lazy lately and am wearing... well, whatever is easiest most days. But when I go to work at the faire? I have so much fun creating an outfit that's enchanting and whimsical and colorful and just very, very me. I wonder why I don't do this during my regular life, instead focusing on what would be "most appropriate" for whatever activities I'm doing that day. I guess it's easier for me to shop at the renaissance faire, because everything is on full display, and it's all small businesses and a lot of it is actually natural fabrics and dyes, which I love! But this is something I want to bring forward.

By the way, you're reading ๐ŸŒŸMagical Mondays๐ŸŒŸ, where every week I draw a card for us to give some guidance and translate it into practical (and magical) steps you can take for your life, business, and personal growth.

So what does this mean for you? Reflect on these questions, in your head, or in your journal.

  • Since July, what has been giving your life color? Where has color been lacking?
  • How can you add extra color to your life this week, whether it is lots of ripe fruits and veggies in your food, or lots of pretty outfits in your wardrobe?
  • What does "natural color" mean in your life? Where is it especially relevant? And how do you honor it?

Have a Magical Monday, love!

P.S. - The relaunch of my coaching program is coming!!! It's no longer "good girl deprogramming" but something a bit... wilder. You'll start seeing more and more clues in the coming weeks <3
