Magical Mondays: It's time to do the scary thing

So, Reader, our card for this week is the 7 of Cups.

And on the one hand I'm like "YES! This is just what we need!" while at the same time on the other hand I'm like "still? This? we're not done?"

Let me explain what I mean:

First of all, remember I'm an intuitive reader, which means I do NOT memorize the meanings of all the cards (because that's not the kind of auDHD I got, sorry) instead, trusting that the forces speaking to me through the cards KNOW exactly what they need to show me to get their message across.

Here's the message of this card.

You Are Hiding.

You Are Masking.

You are Guarding your resources and your gifts.

But if you want to actually *receive* what it is you want? It's time to STOP hiding. Stop masking. Start sharing and giving your resources and gifts instead.

Helpfully, it also wants to remind you that You are far more powerful that you believe you are.

There is risk involved in being you, loudly and visibly, for sure. But you are strong enough to handle what might come. And you have so much more than you think you do.

In this card you are both the fierce dragon AND the hooded figure. What if that dragon energy turned from protection-mode to creation-mode? Can you even imagine?

Here's what it means for me:

I've been holding back (I know, it doesn't seem like that but I have), and one of my favorite teachers and coaches, Simone Seol, is about to host a program called Truth or Dare. And even just her marketing for this course has already made me braver.

  • I've designed a new workshop and got it scheduled at Yoga High yoga studio for later this month.
  • I've started writing my 2nd short story for a contest (wanna read the first?)
  • I wrote a stranger at the coffee shop a note because I wanted to befriend her.
  • I propositioned a new mentor (and got a YES!) even though I thought it might be against the rules.

And yet I haven't actually signed up for her program.

Why?

Because part of me is like "nope, this is enough. I have grown enough from these exercises. I don't need to pay for the actual program. I'll just keep going at this slow and steady and see what happens.

No need to spend money.

No need to try too much, too fast."

So I do feel personally called out by this card today, for sure.

And I'm going to take action by actually signing up for this program. (I think you should do it with me, especially you Reader, because we all need to be a little bit louder and fiercer this year)*.

What does it mean for you?

I have a feeling that you also know exactly what this card is telling you to do this week. If you feel called to share, simply respond to this email.

AND on the off-chance this card is telling you to sign up for my signature program which is Literally Designed to Help Women Start Being Braver, Louder, and More Themselves, then apply for one of my open spots TODAY.

<3 Megan

*I do not receive any commission or anything if you sign up for Simone's program. I just honestly have grown so much every time I do a thing with her and think she's awesome.

Today's card is......(drumroll please!) The Fool. Card 0. The Very. First. One. I drew this card and immediately was called to pull up this song on youtube (and the music video is even more charming than I can remember). Because, you see, the inner perfectionist in me? The good girl? The one who hates to be bad at something (especially in public) she used to hate the Fool card. What is a fool, she thought, except something useless, inconvenient, and unpredictable. The one who messes...

"I am woman, hear me roar!" "I'm feeling delusional and unhinged today, so that's the energy I'm bringing." What do you think a session with me would be like? Even if you've had one with me before, I don't think you quite understand what's in the works right now. When I started coaching it was all about thoughts. Changing your thoughts and changing how much control they have over you. Now it's gotten hotter and weirder. In the past month I've lead clients through chakra cleanses time-travel...

The economy is going bonkers. We have, at the same time, a lot of money to spend on things we don't need and not quite enough money to afford the things we *do* need. I've been thinking about this today as I'm once again in my head about what it means to charge for coaching. Why would my clients pay me instead of creating this change on their own, or through less expensive options like self-help books or listening to free podcasts? Cooking is not complete without a dance around the kitchen...
