Welcome back to Magical Mondays! Are you ready to have a magical week? Well, be patient because first I have an announcement! Tomorrow at 11am EST I'm hosting a live interview with Ela Szilvassy (WithinWithEla on Instagram). Ela is a somatic visibility coach, EFT practitioner, and a fellow Good-Girl-Deprogrammer! I'd love for yo to join us & you can do so at this link: βhttps://riverside.com/studio/megan-gillmans-studioβ You'll be able to ask questions in the chat, but if you can't make it live please respond and let me know what questions you have about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) so I can pass them along! Now, back to our regularly scheduled reading!
Our card for this week is.... AutumnInitially I thought it was a bit weird and random that I pulled the Autumn card for us right at the start of May, when spring is *finally* making itself felt. But it's actually not weird at all. The Autumn card reminds us that change, decay, and endings are all normal, natural, and part of a cycle that will keep going forever. If you're experiencing big changes in your life, or if something is ending for you, let that be O.K. Maybe even beautiful. This card also brings to mind the harvest season, which is a time to get some hard work done AND ALSO to set aside time to reflect on all the abundance your hard work has actually brought you. You've accomplished so much! This is a great week to let yourself feel super proud, and even to celebrate. How to use this reading in your week:The Practical Take some time this week to reflect and journal on what you've achieved so far in 2026. Write down all your wins and everything you got done, even if it doesn't seem important. What are you grateful for? What has gone incredibly well? And - what did you have to let go of to get there? What did you lose along the way? What projects or ideas died before they could really bloom? Autumn is a time of in-betweens, of equal parts gratitude and grief. Embrace the paradox and let yourself free-write about whatever comes up. The Magical Have a Thanksgiving Feast (yes, in May). There's no good reason we have to keep just one day of the year for being Thankful (especially when it has such a problematic history, anyway). Plan one night this week to have a special meal, either for yourself or together with friends, family, or a significant other. Make it big or small, but make it special. Set the intention to celebrate the abundance you have and share it with your people! (Yes, It's not about fancy food. It's about gathering to give thanks. Ok, I guess I can't sneak anything past you. Yup - I've switched decks this week! This card is from my Herbana Witch Oracle deck. The main difference between a tarot deck and and oracle deck is the Tarot is a set series of cards that is always the same, even though the artwork may be different. An oracle deck, though, is largely a deck of art cards that the reader can interpret however it speaks to them. I just finished reading The Blackbird Oracle by Deborah Harkness and was feeling called to play with this deck in particular. I'd love to know, do you prefer tarot cards to oracle cards? Do you do your own readings? Or are you just following mine? Respond to this email and let me know! P.S. - While looking up the Bookshop.org link for The Blackbird Oracle I found out that they are actually recreating the oracle deck from the book! It comes out in August! I might need to get that for my spooky-season readings. Uh-oh. I'm about to become a hoarder of tarot decks... |
