Good Magical Morning, friend. Did you know that in folklore it is said that by looking through a stone with a naturally occuring hole in it you will be able to see into other worlds? This week our card is... The Holed StonesThis week the cards want to remind you that every day, and through totally ordinary items + moments you are given the chance to see into different worlds as well. The worlds might not be hidden realms or alternate realities. Instead, they allow you glimpses of a life you could live, a world you could create here - in our reality. You'll know when it happens, because you'll feel a tingle or a sense of calm and excitement as you sense a new possibility opening before you. You'll have that thought. "My life could be more like this." "I could actually do this" "What if this could be my life?" And then, because you are a practical and realistic grown ass adult.... you generally ignore that feeling. You might tell ourself that it would be too risky, or that you're too old to start something new. Or my personal favorite: It's just not the right time. But this week the Holed Stones want you to know that other world is YOURS TO CREATE - if you really want it. But... how, though? By manifesting? Through the Power of Positive Thinking? Not quite. Here are my 3 simple steps to creating the life you're dreaming of.* Step 1. Admit you want it. This can be as simple as admitting to yourself that you like this vision of a world you've glimpsed, and that you want your world to look more like that one. The tricky part is controlling the automatic thoughts that pop up in reaction to that desire. The thoughts that tell you that it can never happen, or that you shouldn't want it. It's selfish. You don't deserve it. Etc, etc. Advanced thought work or shadow work practices can help diminish those thoughts over time, ut in the meantime just go ahead and tell them "yeah, maybe you're right. But I want it anyway." Step 2: Daydream about it. Imagine what it would be like to live in that world. To wake up in it and live just a normal day in that life. Let yourself daydream, make pinterest boards, playlists, or collages about how it might feel. Read books about other people who live that way (real people or fictional, doesn't really matter). Journal about what it will be like when it happens. Do this as often as you can. Step 3: Notice the signs it's happening Watch for the small signs, opportunities, and openings that call youto take a small step toward this new life. (And please, pretty please with sugar on top, STOP talking yourself out of taking them. Celebrate each small movement, and let yourself feel excitement and gratitude that you're on your way! A note on choosing your destiny: Just because a path is meant for you, doesn't mean you'll never face challenges or setbacks. And it doesn't mean you'll never have a day where you're stuck in bed, questioning everything you're working towards. Too often we give up on our dreams for our lives, for our worlds, because we fail at something early on, or because it starts to feel too hard. I promise you, if you can see it, dream it, or imagine it, that is a *good sign* that dream is an actual option for you in this life. You don't get to choose how fast you get there, though. Only whether or not you're going to take the next step. *Ok, this is somewhat oversimplified because THIS IS WHAT I DO in my coaching packages. In Good Girl Deprogramming you do the work over 6 months to start turning down the volume on the voices (real & imagined) that say you can't have what you want - or, more often, that you're a terrible person for even WANTING what you want- and you start to create the life you have been secretly longing for. You get 1:1 support the whole way through. It's helped women change careers, uplevel careers, quit toxic jobs, and create the kind of life that other people don't really believe is possible. If you've got a secret dream and you're serious about making it happen, this is your sign to book a free, no-strings attached conversation about how you can make it happen. |
