Magical Mondays: Focus in on something precious

Today’s card is the 4 of Pentacles.

(yep, she's baaaaack!)

Pentacles have been showing up a lot lately — for me and for many of the people I read for — and that’s worth noting. Pentacles are about material abundance: money, work, business, what we’re building in the physical world. So… all signs point to good things taking shape.

In this image we see long, loose hair and flowing clothes, soft yellows and deep bluish purples. The woman balances in a ridiculous little squat, standing on her toes atop two pentacles. She’s steady, but alert.

Those two pentacles beneath her feet represent what you’ve already created — your work, your skills, your career, the structures that support you. What you stand on.

Above her head floats another pentacle: aspirations, dreams, where you’d like to be.

And then there’s the pentacle in her hands. She’s holding it carefully, giving it her full attention.

Here’s the message for the week:

Choose ONE thing to focus on.

Don’t overthink it. The thing that popped into your head just now? That’s the one.

For this week, that single task becomes your primary focus — where most of your time and energy go. Not forever. Just for now.

It’s likely something you’ve been circling for a while but haven’t fully acted on yet. (I know exactly what mine is… and yes, it’s been bumped down the list more times than I care to admit.)

This week’s colors are yellow (personal power, follow-through, getting things done) and purple (intuition, imagination). We’re blending action with insight.

Practical steps

  1. Brain dump. Grab a piece of paper and write down everything that needs to happen for this project to be done. All of it. Get it out of your head and onto the page — your brain has enough chaos to manage already.
  2. Organize + schedule. Put those tasks in order. Estimate how long each will take and add them to your calendar. If it won’t fit into a week, or it starts to feel unwieldy, you’re welcome to book a free mini-session with me and we’ll untangle it together. No strings attached.
  3. Work — with rewards. Start working and build in small breaks and little rewards along the way.
  4. Make space for the “but what about this?!” tasks. You know the ones. The 2–3 things your brain keeps shouting about that aren’t the priority, but might be time-sensitive. Schedule them intentionally so they don’t steal your attention from your one bright shiny pentacle.

A little magic (optional, but encouraged)

Consider making a small offering to your spirit guides, ancestors, or guardian angels — whoever you like to work with.

My favorite version is coffee or tea because:

  • I’m making it anyway
  • It feels special without being expensive

Make a small extra cup and place it somewhere meaningful. You can use these words, or your own:

Thank you, Guides, Guardian Angels, and Benevolent Ancestors, for your help with this project.
Thank you for inspiration, motivation, and for opening doors when I can’t see a way through.
I offer this coffee — its aroma and essence — as a sign of my gratitude.
I am honored to have you with me in this work.

When it cools, pour it out outside.

Please do not drink your ancestors’ offering. You know how salty family can get about the last slice of pie? Same energy. Trust me.

If a whole extra cup feels like too much, offer the first sip of yours and then pour it out. (For the homies.)

Other offerings work too: candlelight, incense, intention.

I’m really excited about this energy, so let’s build some momentum together.

How about we check in later this week? I’m thinking Friday evening — we can do a short coworking session (about 30 minutes) on this project, or whatever you’re working on, and then talk about how it’s going.

Respond to this email to RSVP!

PSSSST — fun things are happening this week

• Thursday: my guest spot on the Your Way podcast drops, where I talk with Louise Lewis about how life coaching led me to witchcraft — and why I’ve woven magic into my business.

• Wednesday: the first episode of Therapist vs. Life Coach premieres on YouTube — a conversational podcast about mental health, hosted by two brilliant women with different backgrounds and the same goal: making people happier.

Stay tuned for more!
