Welcome to a new week! Today's email is short (and late) because life is.... well, you all know how life can be. This week it's busy. And exciting. And stressful (maybe, a little?) But our card already knows! This week's card is..... The FoxThe fox is one of my favorite animal allies, because they are crafty and sly and clever, and also very playful. And lazy, when they can be. The fox wants us to work smarter, not harder, this week. And, in addition to that, it wants to remind you that just because life is challenging it doesn't mean life is not *fun*. In fact, says the fox, it's the challenges that make life fun. Without challenges, without problems you can't quite see how you'll get out of, wouldn't it all be so boring? This week you can call on the fox to help you cleverly sort out your problems, and bring creative solutions to the things that are nagging at the back of your mind. The practical: Give yourself permission to be a teensy bit naughty this week. You can be 5 minutes late for that meeting and not say anything about it or offer an excuse. That $20 bill you find on the ground? It's yours now. Remember, though, that the fox isn't malicious, just mischievous. Steer clear of anything that would actively harm someone else! Also, this is a good week to be a thorn in the side of the establishment, whatever establishment that might be. The magical: You can actually call on The Fox as an animal ally. Petition the fox for help solving a problem, finding a path, or shaking off someone who's trying to cause you harm or make you crazy. Think of what the fox symbolizes to you, and then think of what they could help you with in your life this week. Write the petition on piece of paper and then send it out to the Fox spirit by burning it or burying it in the ground. (do this safely! Foxes don't approve of forest fires any more than bears do!)
