The Microdosing Challenge

Every time you've compromised your values in order to keep the peace

Every time you held your tongue to appear "professional"

Every time you stayed at work instead of taking the day to go do that thing you really wanted to do...

You taught your brain to be compliant.

Every time you swallowed your own feelings to take care of someone else's

Every time you dropped everything to go grab them a glass of water

Every time you cancelled your appointment because "something came up" that wasn't even remotely your problem but somehow landed on your desk...

You taught your brain to ignore your inner knowing.

It didn't happen all at once.

It happened over years, decades, days.

And the message became internalized.

Put others first.

Put yourself last.

ENTER: The Microdosing challenge

(no, we're not doing shrooms, but if you want to I KNOW SOMEONE GREAT!)

It starts with small actions

And ends with you being braver, bolder, and more bad-ass than you ever thought you could.

Here are some of my current ideas:

  • Call a friend you haven't talked to in a while (WITHOUT TEXTING FIRST TO ASK IF IT'S OK)
  • Invite your friend over for coffee and DO NOT CLEAN UP FIRST
  • Go to a dance class. Be bad at it. Dance Full Out Anyway.
  • Put down a book you're not loving*. Forever. (unless you change your mind sometime way down the line)
  • While you're at it, DOG-EAR the pages of your book. I don't care if you don't need to, just do it!

So here are my questions for you:

  1. Which one of the above makes you feel most uncomfortable?
  2. What other challenges should we add?
  3. Do you want to do this in a whatsapp group? On Discord? Just keep it in the email? LMK

Yours in love and ridiculous levels of excitement,

Megan

I'm pulling back the curtain today. You may have wondered why I'm always so determined to put a picture of EXACTLY the card I drew in my Magic Mondays email! Or, well, maybe you haven't. There's a lot on everyone's minds right now. But there IS a very important reason why I never use a generic "3 of cups" picture when I'm actually pulling from my Illuminated Visions Deck, and why I wouldn't pull an AI image of "herbs" for the card I pulled yesterday. It's because: THE MEANINGS OF THE CARDS...

There are things all over your life and world that are already magical, but that you rarely notice, or just don't know how to tap into. That's the message of this week's card: The Herbs From Herbana Witch Oracle Deck by Alice Cuidi & Cecilia Lattari Herbs are mystical, magical plants that can be used to heal, soothe, and energize our bodies, if only we knew the mystical magical ways they work! Right? Think again. Most of the herbs that you'd find in a magic shop or for that matter on a...

I remember the first time we talked about your work life balance, and you were already doing so well. Not only were you crushing it at work, but you were also monetizing your hobbies, and volunteering, and taking classes. Of course you didn't have a work-life balance problem! But, also... You were eating your lunch in your car in a nearby parking lot, because even with your door closed colleagues would come in and interrupt you while you were on break. And you were holding your pee for way...
